Hi my name is Ben Labs, I am a 22 year old student at Radford University, and I will be writing a serious of Blogs for my Social media Marketing class. The topic of the blog is supposed to be something of passion to me and I choose motorcycling.
Motor cycling can be unique as you are. You can ride on road, off road or both – and use the same bike for either. You can go through twisty back roads, ride coast to coast. But like anything motorcycling is not second nature and there are right and wrong ways to go about it. A great place o start would be the motorcycle safety foundation course.
Everybody knows somebody who rides a motorcycle either for daily transportation or just the pure excitement and everybody who rides has heard you got to be careful motorcycles are dangerous. In the United States only 3% out of every one hundred people ride a motorcycle, in the U.S motorcycles are seen more as a way of excitement or adrenaline then a major way of transportation like Asia/Pacific region were throughout their countries motorcycle ownership is way over 75%. But this can all change by you joining the community.
Getting started and owning a motorcycle is very simple and convenient, Motorcycles tend to save a lot more money on gas by getting more efficient miles, service and maintience is also cheaper and easier so you can work on it yourself. Bikes will also retain their retail value and tend to rack up less mileages than a car.
The only other thing you need besides the bike is proper gear which is probably one of the most important aspect to save your life. Lastly, Helmet and gloves are a good way to start but you should also consider, gloves, pant, and boots. Ridding gear does not have to be expensive but should be DOT approved and have reasonable protection. Now you the basics of starting up, What are you waiting for?
